Erin Cumings is a Senior Consultant with the Sponsor Relations team at Nationwide Insurance. In this role, Erin is responsible for developing business opportunities through cooperative relationships. Erin has held numerous roles within Nationwide over the last 20 years. She is a graduate of Iowa State University where she earned a degree in Agricultural Business. Erin and her husband operate a diversified farm outside of Des Moines, Iowa, where they raise cattle, corn, hay, and soybeans. They also operate a full-service automotive repair business and reside on the farm with their daughter. Erin serves the agri-food community through numerous leadership positions with Iowa 4-H, Iowa FFA Alumni, and by being a founding member of the Women in Ag Committee at Nationwide. She joined the MACC board of directors in 2021.

Jen Weaver is a lead professional development trainer at GROWMARK, an agricultural cooperative serving customers in the U.S. and Canada. In this role, she designs and delivers comprehensive training programs to support the growth and development of employees across all organizational levels. Jen shares her expertise in areas such as succession planning, leadership development, employee performance review process implementation and more. Jen joined GROWMARK in September 2022. In addition to her work at GROWMARK, Jen has a rich background in education. She serves as an adjunct professor at Illinois State University, where she contributes to shaping the minds of future education. Before transitioning to GROWMARK, Jen spent 15 years in public education, gaining valuable insights into teaching, curriculum development, and district wide development. Her passion lies in helping others achieve their full potential, and she actively fosters a culture of learning and excellence wherever she goes.

John Marihugh is Vice President of Strategy, Communication and Member Services for United Producers, Inc., (UPI) headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Marihugh joined UPI in 2022 where he works across the cooperative to support members, grow UPI’s impact, and build its brand throughout the Midwest and beyond. Marihugh brings a broad range of experience and expertise to his work at UPI having served previously as the Sr. Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, as well as with the North American Meat Institute. He has a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Cedarville University and studied international business and German at the University of Salzburg in Salzburg, Austria. John continues to remain active in two family farming operations in northwest Ohio. He was appointed to a vacant seat on the MACC board of directors in 2023.

Heather McCann is Sr. Director of Public Affairs, Governance, and Administration at Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) in Medina, Ohio. McCann has been with DFA for more than 25 years. She grew up on a dairy farm and is still involved with her family’s crop farm. Being able to serve members through a career with DFA has allowed her to stay close to the industry that is closest to her heart. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communications from The Ohio State University and five-year career in farm radio, McCann joined the DFA. She says there is a special pride that comes from working for farmers and a strong sense of purpose that comes from knowing when she does her job well, their lives are just a little bit easier. She joined the MACC board of directors in 2018 but has been involved with MACC and its predecessors since 1998.
