About Saint Mary’s University’s International Centre for Co-operative Management

Saint Mary’s University’s International Centre for Co-operative Management has been welcoming co-operative leaders into their programs for 20 years, providing business education focused on the unique co-operative enterprise model. From their co-operative alternative to an MBA to their executive education programming and research, the Centre works to elevate co-operative leadership and impact through helping emerging and seasoned leaders navigate the complexity of co-operative business – democratic, people-centered, and collectively-owned.

The Centre equips co-operative professionals to operationalize the co-operative identity, principles, and values in the day-to-day operations as well as strategy and governance. Although the Centre is based in eastern-Canada, the effort to build the programs was supported by leaders in the US, Canada, and the UK. And today, there are over 80 partner organizations and individuals worldwide who support the Centre’s activities (which are mostly offered online or destination), ensuring the education and research meets the needs of current and future leaders.
