MACC’s History
Mid America Cooperative Council was founded in January of 2003 by a group of
like-minded individuals. These folks understood the importance of
perpetuating the education in understanding the principles of the
cooperative business model. These cooperative professionals recognized the
danger of allowing an increased decline in the availability of quality co-op
education in their region. Members co-aligned and co-created a strategy to
provide relevant topics within a dynamic and customizable curriculum. MACC
accomplishes this mission by identifying deficits in relevant conference
topics and co-op programs. MACC secures prominent industry leaders and
experts, who craft a variety of co-op programs and financial conferences to
fill these niches. These educational opportunities are created for needs
indentified by our members at a location near you. As a non-profit, costs
are affordable so more members of your organization can attend.
